Careers

Coleman & Horowitt, LLP is a boutique firm which prides itself on the expertise and quality of its professional and support staff. Attorneys come from a variety of experiences and law schools. Unlike other, perhaps larger firms, we judge attorneys by what they can do, and have done, in their professional careers in addition to what particular school they attended. A commitment to meeting the needs of clients and to those who cannot afford legal representation is also of great importance and is demonstrated by the Firm’s commitment to pro bono activities (the Firm was Pro Bono law firm of the year in Fresno County in 1997 and members of the Firm have been awarded the President’s Pro Bono award from the State Bar of California).

We do not recruit new attorneys on a regular basis. We instead add attorneys only where there is a demonstrated need to do so.  The Firm does, however, seek lawyers for the following positions in our Fresno and Bakersfield offices.

Business and Commercial Litigation (Fresno and Bakersfield)

Our litigation department seeks an attorney with three or more years of experience in business and commercial litigation, including commercial collections. The successful candidate will have experience in conducting legal research, preparation of pleadings, drafting and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, making court appearances, mediating disputes and trial preparation. Actual trial experience welcome but not required.

Estate Planning and Probate (Fresno and Bakersfield)

Our transactions department seeks an attorney with three or more years of experience in estate planning and probate. The successful candidate will have experience in the drafting of wills, trusts, probate, probate and trust disputes, entity formation, review and preparation of contracts.

Employment (Fresno)

Our litigation department seeks an attorney with 6 or more years of experience in labor and employment matters including employment counseling, labor and employment disputes and wage and hour claims, including the defense of class action disputes.

Business and Real Estate Transactions (Fresno)

Our transactions group seeks an attorney with 6 or more years of experience in business and real estate transactions including entity formation, real estate development, lease negotiation, preparation and review, common interest developments including condominium associations, landlord-tenant matters, real estate purchase and sale documentation, real estate and business financing and dispute resolution of business and real estate disputes.

The Firm will also entertain resumes from those seeking a lateral partnership opportunity, with an existing book of business, in any of the firm’s practice areas.
